How many of us have been here. You’re feeling prepared, have the idea in mind, the pen in hand – but are not sure about how to structure your thoughts?
Relax…you are not the only one. And in reality, bestselling novels aren’t easy to be written. It takes a lot of time, effort and a scheme to do it right the first time. Guessing you have the time and effort, you are left with the scheme to write your award-winning novel. Fortunately, today we are bringing the main ideas to help you write your (first) bestseller.
1.Decide On The Genre Of Your Novel – Your genre is an important part of your novel. Will it be sci-fi, love/romance or maybe an autobiography? Because all genres are unique, you have to sort this out in the very start.
2.Brainstorm Different Concepts – Always have A, B and C as concepts to go for when writing a novel. After all, you won’t lose nothing. And what can you gain? Valuable insights about the beauty of each piece, or valuable information for someone experienced when discussing your novel.
3.Map Out The Storyline – Very often writers tend to focus on one part of the story, slow it down and then quickly wrap it up. In reality, this is not how a successful novel is written. That is why you should map out the pages of the storyline, for example page 1 to page 50 is introduction, page 50 to 200 is the climax, page 200 to 500 is the ending and so on.
4.Come Up With First Draft – If you think your novel will be published ASAP, you are terribly wrong. Why? Because even the best writers come up with a draft which is edited, proofread and possibly slightly (or not so slightly) changed afterwards.
Writing your first bestselling novel and making sure it’s a bestselling one isn’t something that is guaranteed. However, you can do your best and follow the structure as it is, and learn the basics without making some of the common mistakes.
